Freshsales pricing in 2026: What actually forces the jump from $9 to $39

Freshworks lists Freshsales Growth at $9 a seat a month. Three of the things that actually run a sales team, deal insights, sales sequences, and territory management, sit on a different plan entirely.

Growth starts at $9 a seat a month (annual) and covers contact management, basic workflows, and one pipeline.

Pro at $39 is where sequences, scoring, and multiple pipelines show up, the jump most buyers don't plan for.

Freshsales Suite costs the same per seat as plain Freshsales and adds 500 marketing contacts. Pricing checked directly on Freshworks' own pricing, compare, and support pages on 16 September 2026.

Freshsales pricing plans break down into four public tiers: a limited Free tier, Growth, Pro, and Enterprise. The number on the homepage is only ever the starting point.

What decides your actual bill is which of ten or so ceilings you hit first, pipelines, workflows, calling minutes, API calls, or AI sessions, and almost none of those show up next to the price.

The Free plan has no workflows, no file storage allowance, no API access, and no Marketplace apps. Three seats, nothing more.

It also doesn't appear on Freshworks' own main pricing grid, only on the plan comparison page, so plenty of shoppers never see it at all.

Every paid tier includes a 21 day trial with the full feature set turned on; No card required.

Freshsales Suite pricing costs the same and adds 500 marketing contacts

Growth, Pro, and Enterprise price out at $9, $39, and $59 a seat a month on annual billing. Freshsales Suite matches every one of those numbers exactly.

The difference is 500 marketing contacts bundled in, something plain Freshsales doesn't include at all.

Run past the 500 and extra contacts start at $100 per 5,000 a month, according to Freshworks' own compare page, with a separate conversion rate optimization fee from $219 per 10,000 monthly unique visitors if you turn that feature on.

Here's the part that trips people up: buying plain Freshsales because it "looked the same price" skips a feature that costs nothing extra to include.

If your team sends any marketing email at all, Suite is the sensible default, not an upgrade you have to justify. Same price.

If you're still weighing whether Freshsales beats a switch entirely, the site's Freshsales alternatives roundup runs the full annual math against Pipedrive, HubSpot, and a dozen others.

Calling is included, and the minutes aren't what most people guess

Phone features start on Growth: parallel calling, call recording, voicemail drop. Power dialer, warm transfer, and bring your own carrier need Pro. Basics only, on Growth.

What almost nobody writes down is the free minute allowance. Freshworks' own support article confirms it: Growth gets 2,000 free incoming minutes a month on local numbers answered in the browser, Pro gets 3,000, Enterprise gets 5,000.

The catch is that this allowance sits at the account level, not per seat. It doesn't roll over either.

A 10 person Growth team splitting one shared 2,000 minute pool burns through it fast on a busy week.

Past that, calls cost a flat $0.013 a minute, and phone credits (with auto recharge starting at $5) cover both new numbers and outbound calling.

None of the 15 pages currently ranking for Freshsales pricing mention this allowance at all.

One competing guide states flatly that calling needs a separate subscription, which isn't accurate; Freshcaller functionality ships inside Freshsales itself starting on Growth.

The real ceiling on Growth: pipelines, workflows, and storage

Freshsales Pro pricing adds sequences, scoring, and multiple pipelines for $39 a seat, but Growth's $9 price covers exactly one sales pipeline.

Pro jumps to 10, Enterprise to 25. If your team runs separate pipelines for new business and renewals, or splits by region, Growth simply can't hold both.

The same pattern repeats across the plan:

Custom reports, multi currency support, forecasting, and the recycle bin all sit at Pro and above too.

A team that outgrows Growth usually doesn't notice the pipeline cap first. It's the workflow limit, 20 automations sounds like plenty until lead routing, follow up reminders, and deal stage alerts each eat one.

Freddy AI Agent's 500 sessions are a one time gift, not a monthly one

Every paid plan bundles 500 Freddy AI Agent sessions. What Freshworks' own FAQ makes clear, and what most third party guides get wrong, is that this allowance is a single grant for new accounts, not something that refills each billing cycle.

"Session packs expire at the end of the billing cycle in which they are purchased," according to Freshworks' own Freddy AI Agent documentation.

A session counts as any interaction between one end user and the agent inside a 24 hour window, so a chatty customer can burn several sessions before lunch.

Auto recharge, when enabled, adds a new pack once the balance drops below 50 sessions remaining.

The part that actually matters for anyone leaning on this for support coverage: once sessions run out, a self serve widget stops responding entirely.

It doesn't fall back to a live agent. Chat based deployments do route to a human, but a self serve help widget just goes quiet.

Freddy Copilot, priced separately at $29 a seat elsewhere in Freshworks' lineup, belongs to the service products, not Freshsales.

If a cost breakdown adds a Copilot line to a Freshsales quote, that's a different product's price sneaking onto the wrong bill.

What your API calls are actually capped at

Freshworks' own support documentation puts the ceiling at 1,000 requests an hour on Free and Growth, 2,000 on Pro, and 5,000 on Enterprise, all counted at the account level rather than per seat.

That matters most: a five person Growth team syncing contacts through Zapier or a custom integration shares one 1,000 request pool between all five people and every connected tool. Hit the ceiling and the API starts returning a 429 error until the next hour resets. The pool is shared, always.

Anyone planning to sync Freshsales with a data warehouse or a marketing platform should count requests before picking a plan, not after the integration starts throwing errors.

How Freshsales pricing compares to Pipedrive and HubSpot

People search freshsales crm pricing next to "freshsales vs pipedrive" and "hubspot vs freshsales" often enough that it's worth a straight answer.

Freshsales Growth at $9 undercuts Pipedrive's cheapest paid plan, and its Enterprise tier at $59 lands well under most of HubSpot's mid tier hubs. Sticker price isn't the whole story, though.

The catch shows up in add ons: Pipedrive and HubSpot both sell calling and AI features as separate line items too, so the real comparison isn't the sticker price, it's which vendor's ceilings match how your team actually works.

A calling heavy team hits Freshsales' minute allowance fast. A team leaning on marketing automation may find HubSpot's contact tiers bite sooner than Freshsales' seat price does.

Who Freshsales pricing actually works for

A solo founder or a three person startup fits Growth cleanly, one pipeline is plenty when there's no separate renewals process yet, and Freddy's 500 session grant covers a slow first quarter of support questions.

A small sales team running sequences and multiple pipelines needs Pro the moment scoring or territory management becomes non negotiable, not after signing up for Growth and hitting the wall.

Teams that call leads directly, rather than emailing first, should size the plan around the calling allowance specifically.

A five person team making 500 minutes of calls each per month will burn through Growth's shared 2,000 minute pool inside the first week.

Multi department operations juggling forecasting, custom modules, and audit logs land on Enterprise almost automatically. Those features don't exist below it at any price.

Nonprofits and education buyers should ask Freshworks sales directly about a discount before assuming list price; Freshworks doesn't publish nonprofit pricing anywhere on the public site, unlike some competitors.

FAQ

What happens when Freddy AI Agent sessions run out?

A self serve widget stops functioning completely rather than handing off to a person. Auto recharge, if turned on, buys a new pack once the balance drops under 50 sessions; without it, the agent just goes silent until the next billing cycle or a manual top up.

Is there a free Freshsales plan?

Yes, capped at 3 seats, one pipeline, and no workflows, storage, API access, or Marketplace apps. It's meant as a trial replacement more than a working plan for an active sales team.

How much does Freshsales cost overall?

A five seat Freshsales crm costs anywhere from $0 on Free to nearly $300 a month on Enterprise, before Freddy AI packs or branded documents. Add one Freddy AI session pack and a Pro team of five lands at $244 a month, not the $195 sticker price alone.

Does Freshsales charge extra for phone calls?

Not inside the free monthly minute allowance (2,000 to 5,000 depending on plan), but calls beyond that bill at $0.013 a minute from a prepaid credit balance, and outbound calling always draws from that same balance.

Can I switch from monthly to annual billing later?

Yes, and it's worth running the numbers before you do. Freshworks prices Growth at $9 annual versus $11 monthly, a real gap across a full seat count. Our annual versus monthly calculator does that math for any seat count in a few seconds.

The math the pricing page skips

Freshsales' sticker price is honest as far as it goes. What it leaves out is everything that turns $9 into a real monthly bill: which pipeline count you actually need, whether your team calls or emails first, and whether 500 Freddy sessions cover a full quarter or barely a slow week.

Before signing an annual contract, pull up Freshworks' own compare page next to whichever plan you're leaning toward and check it against the numbers above.

One more thing worth knowing before you commit: Freshworks' Trustpilot page carries a 1.5 out of 5 average from 115 reviews, and a recurring theme in the complaints is billing that keeps charging after a cancellation request.

Not a product complaint so much as a reason to read the cancellation terms before the trial ends, not after.
