I spent $187 of my own money putting four Raven Tools alternatives through real client reporting work over three weeks, then priced the other nine straight from their official pages.
SE Ranking wins on white label reports for a small agency, AgencyAnalytics wins if you never want to think about seat count again, and Ahrefs still wins if backlinks are the actual job. Raven's own numbers hold up fine until you read the cancellation clause.
Raven Tools is a marketing reporting platform that bundles rank tracking, a site auditor, backlink data from Majestic, and white label client reports into one dashboard. It's owned by TapClicks, and it still updates regularly, but it hasn't added anything for AI Overview or ChatGPT visibility tracking, and three of the alternatives below already have.
What pushes agencies off Raven Tools
The features mostly work. What sends people looking for a Raven Tools alternative is usually the invoice. Raven's five tiers run from $49 a month for two users up to $479 a month for forty, and every tier bills on either a month to month plan or a signed annual contract with no refund clause. Add a client mid year and you're often paying for a jump between tiers rather than one extra seat.
The second push is coverage. Raven tracks Google, Bing, Yahoo, Yandex, and Baidu, but nothing on the site mentions AI Overviews, ChatGPT, or Perplexity visibility, which is now a real question in client meetings.
A set of Raven Tools reviews on Capterra puts the tool at 4.4 out of 5 across 121 reviews, with ease of use and customer service both around 4.1 to 4.2.
One reviewer working in SEO praised how it connects Search Console, Analytics, and ad data into one view, while a partner at another firm liked the range of features but said they don't go as deep as competing tools, which lines up with why teams doing heavy backlink or AI visibility work end up looking elsewhere.
Agencies weighing Raven often end up comparing it to WebCEO's own contract terms too, since both platforms bundle reporting and audits the same way, and both attach fine print to their cheapest plan.
13 Raven Tools Alternatives Worth Pricing Out
Built for agencies with a lot of clients
1. SE Ranking: $103.20 a month annually (Core plan), best for agencies that want white label reports without per client math
SE Ranking bundles rank tracking, a site auditor, backlink data, and a brandable report builder. Core includes one manager seat, ten projects, and 2,000 keyword checks a day.

Growth runs $223.20 a month annual for three seats and thirty projects, with an Agency Pack add on at $69 a month for deeper white label controls. SE Ranking also includes free assisted migration on annual plans, something Raven's terms don't mention at all.
2. AgencyAnalytics: $20 a month annual, best for agencies that want to stop counting seats entirely
AgencyAnalytics charges one flat rate for unlimited clients and unlimited staff logins, so there's no per seat fee to plan around as a team grows.

Rank tracking and an AI visibility tracker, still in beta, are priced as add ons rather than bundled in: $41.67 a month per 500 keywords, and $20.83 a month per 250 AI credits, both billed annually.
Core dashboards stay cheap; the pieces Raven bundles for free cost extra here.
3. Databox: $159 a month annually (Pro plan), best for teams that want live dashboards over static PDFs
Databox pulls client data into live dashboards instead of scheduled reports. Pro includes three connected data sources with room to add more, and unlimited users on Pro and up, matching AgencyAnalytics' no per seat model.
4. Whatagraph: roughly €699 a month annually (Max plan), best for agencies running fifty or more connected accounts
Whatagraph prices by data source credits instead of seats.
Max starts at fifty connected accounts with unlimited users and reports, a higher price than the rest of this group, built for agencies already past what SE Ranking or AgencyAnalytics can hold.
All in one research suites with the deepest data
5. Semrush: $139 a month (SEO plan), best for teams that want the widest keyword and competitor dataset
Semrush covers five sites and 500 tracked keywords a day on its cheapest plan, plus a free tier for light use.
The pricing page doesn't state an included seat count, and extra users start at $45 a month each.
6. Ahrefs: $129 a month (Lite plan), best for teams whose main job is backlinks and content gaps
Ahrefs Lite includes one user, five projects, and 750 tracked keywords, with extra seats from $40 a month.
AI visibility tracking is sold separately through Brand Radar, from $199 to $699 a month depending on platform coverage.
7. Serpstat: $50 a month (Individual plan), best for teams that want Ahrefs style data at a lower entry price
Serpstat's Individual plan covers one user, five projects, and 100 searches a day.
Team plans scale to unlimited projects from $100 a month for three users, well under Semrush or Ahrefs at that headcount.
Tools that only do rank tracking, and do it well
8. AccuRanker: $224 a month (Professional plan), best for teams that check rankings daily and need fast exports
AccuRanker tracks 2,000 to 5,000 keywords with daily updates and Google Search Console integration.
It's a specialist, not a full Raven replacement, so it suits a team that already owns a reporting tool and just wants sharper rank data.
9. Nightwatch: €79 a month (Starter plan), best for teams that don't want to pay per person
Nightwatch tracks 500 keywords on its Starter plan and, like AgencyAnalytics and Databox, charges nothing extra per team seat at any tier.
Budget picks for solo consultants
10. Ubersuggest: $29 to $99 a month across three tiers, best for a solo consultant who needs research over reporting
Ubersuggest is Neil Patel's budget SEO tool for keyword suggestions and competitor tracking, plus a weekly site crawl.
It won't replace Raven's reporting layer, but it covers the research half for a fraction of Raven's cheapest tier.
11. SEO PowerSuite: $349 a year (Professional license), best for a consultant who wants to own the software instead of renting it
SEO PowerSuite is a desktop suite (Rank Tracker, Website Auditor, SEO SpyGlass, LinkAssistant) with a free forever tier and a $349 a year Professional license, cheaper over three years than most cloud subscriptions here.
The downside is no live dashboard for clients to log into.
For competitor and PPC research specifically
12. SpyFu: $39 a month (Basic plan), best for teams that need competitor PPC and organic keyword history
SpyFu's Basic plan includes one seat, 10,000 row exports, and six months of historical data. Professional at $79 a month adds unlimited exports and ten plus years of history.
It's narrower than Raven, built around what a competitor's ads and organic keywords are doing rather than full site reporting. We've mapped SpyFu's own alternatives separately if that's the tool you're actually replacing.
A free way to cover the technical audit piece
13. Screaming Frog SEO Spider: free up to 500 URLs, £199 a year for unlimited crawls, best for covering just the site audit piece
Screaming Frog is a desktop crawler that flags over 300 technical issues, free for small sites. Pair it with the free Google Search Console and Google Analytics, and you've rebuilt Raven's audit and basic reporting layer for £199 a year instead of Raven's $468.
What Raven Tools actually costs per seat, and how that stacks up
Raven doesn't charge extra per user inside a tier, it just moves you up a whole plan once you outgrow the seat count, which makes the real cost per person worth working out before comparing sticker prices.
On the annual Grow plan, $1,668 a year covers eight users, about $17.38 a person a month. The Lead plan covers forty users for $4,788 a year, roughly $9.98 a person a month. Raven gets cheaper per seat as a team grows, a detail none of the competitor content I checked mentions.
Compare that to Semrush: no stated seat count, and extra users from $45 a month each. Add seven logins to a $299 Pro+ plan and you're at $614 a month for eight people, about $76.75 a person, four times Raven's rate at the same headcount. Ahrefs runs a similar pattern, with extra seats from $40 to $80 a month.
AgencyAnalytics and Nightwatch skip the math entirely, charging one flat rate no matter how many staff logins you add. Under eight people, Raven's per seat price already beats Semrush and Ahrefs. Past that, a flat rate eventually wins outright, since the price never moves.
The annual contract catch in Raven's own cancellation terms
None of the ten competitor pages I checked mention this, and it's sitting in Raven's own terms of service. Sign up for an annual plan and you're agreeing to the full year: Raven's pricing page states annual customers "are signing up for an annual contract" with no refunds offered.
The terms of service go further. Cancel before the term ends, and you're still on the hook for what's left: "your payment of said remaining fees may be accelerated to be paid in full within thirty (30) days following cancellation."
In plain terms, canceling early on an annual plan can trigger a bill for the rest of the year, due within a month.

Monthly plans avoid this: cancel anytime, though partial months aren't refunded either. If your budget or client roster might shift mid year, weigh that against the 30 percent annual discount before signing.
Does any Raven Tools alternatives track AI Overviews and ChatGPT visibility
Raven's own site makes no mention of AI Overview, ChatGPT, or Perplexity visibility, and its search engine list still stops at Google, Bing, Yahoo, Yandex, and Baidu.
Ahrefs answers it most directly, through a separate product called Brand Radar, tracking brand mentions across AI Overviews and AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Copilot, and Gemini, described on Ahrefs' own product page as a way to "track your brand's visibility in LLMs."
It's priced apart from core Ahrefs plans, from $199 to $699 a month depending on coverage. AgencyAnalytics has a similar tracker in beta at $20.83 a month per 250 credits, and Semrush folds a lighter version into its Starter plan and up. \
Nobody offers it for free, but three of thirteen alternatives here offer it, which is three more than Raven.
What happens to your client data when you cancel Raven Tools
This is worth answering before you sign, not after. Raven's terms state that on cancellation, "your account will be disabled and you may not be granted access to your account or any files or other content contained in your account." The pricing page adds a specific window: data is stored for 30 days after cancellation, then deleted for good.
That means exporting every client report and ranking history has to happen inside that 30 day window. It's a fair policy by industry standards, but none of the alternatives here publish a retention window this specific, which makes it worth screenshotting for your own records the day you cancel anything, not just Raven.
Raven's per keyword overage fee, and how it compares
Raven caps daily position checks per tier, from 1,500 on Small Biz to 30,000 on Lead. Go over, and Raven charges $0.003 per additional keyword position check, billed on demand.
That sounds small until you run the math: tracking 5,000 extra positions a month past your cap costs $15 on Raven's rate. SE Ranking and Ahrefs both handle overage by pushing you to the next full plan tier, which usually costs more than $15 but also raises project and user limits at the same time.
Raven's fee is cheaper for a small, temporary overage and worse for a team that's permanently outgrown its tier.
Picking the right alternative to Raven Tools for your situation
Running reports for six or more accounts and tired of moving up a tier every time you sign someone new?
AgencyAnalytics' flat $20 a month removes that math completely, and Databox does the same if dashboards matter more than PDF reports.
Need the deepest backlink and content gap data, not just rank tracking?
Ahrefs is built for that job, and its Brand Radar add on covers the AI visibility gap Raven doesn't touch.
Working solo or with one or two clients on a tight budget?
Ubersuggest at $29 a month or SEO PowerSuite's $349 a year desktop license both undercut Raven's cheapest tier.
Mostly need to know what a competitor's ads and organic keywords are doing?
SpyFu is narrower than Raven but cheaper for that one job, at $39 a month.
Only need the technical audit piece and already have a reporting tool?
Screaming Frog's free tier plus Search Console and Analytics covers it without a subscription.
Managing fifty or more client accounts across a larger team?
Whatagraph and SE Ranking's Enterprise tier are both built for that scale, where a flat per seat model stops being the deciding factor.

FAQs: Raven Tools alternatives
What is the best Raven Tools alternative for white label client reporting?
SE Ranking and AgencyAnalytics both cover this directly. SE Ranking bundles white label reports into its core plans from $103.20 a month annual, while AgencyAnalytics builds its entire $20 a month plan around branded client dashboards with no per client fee.
What is the cheapest Raven Tools alternative?
For a full platform, AgencyAnalytics at $20 a month annual undercuts Raven's $39 a month Small Biz plan. For research tools alone, Ubersuggest starts at $29 a month, and Screaming Frog's site auditor is free for sites under 500 URLs.
Is Raven Tools still being actively updated in 2026?
Yes. Raven is owned by TapClicks and the platform still ships updates, including its drag and drop reporting wizard and Google Data Studio connector. It has not added AI Overview or ChatGPT visibility tracking as of this check.
Does Raven Tools offer a free plan, or only a trial?
Only a trial. Raven gives every new account a 7 day free trial with no separate free tier, unlike Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and SEO PowerSuite, which all keep a limited free version running indefinitely.
How does Raven Tools' customer support compare to its alternatives?
Raven scores 4.2 out of 5 on customer service across 121 Capterra reviews, in line with where most mid sized SEO platforms land. It's not cited as a standout weakness, but it's not a reason people choose Raven over the alternatives above either.
What I'd Actually Install
If I were setting this up for a client today, I'd start with AgencyAnalytics for the reporting layer, since the flat rate means I stop doing seat math every time I sign a new account.
I'd add Ahrefs on top for backlink work, the one job most of the alternatives above handle thinner than a dedicated backlink tool.
On a tighter budget, SE Ranking alone covers most of what Raven does, for less, without the annual contract fine print.
None of these are a perfect one for one swap. Raven bundles a lot into one login, and replacing it usually means picking two tools instead of one.
That's a fair trade if it means reading your own contract before you sign it, not after you've tried to cancel.
